Shinkenger Mecha Lineup... For Now...

Am I the only one who finds the Shinkenger mecha lineup thus far way too cluttered and lacking a coherent theme?

Cos the rest of the fanboys at the message boards are just going "Woah, the mecha looks cool!!! Awesome!!!" and I am like "Eh, what direction is the mecha series actually going into?"

I mean, first we had animals that folded up into emblems (the original theme which I loved the most), then it became animals that had some disc spinning gimmick, now it's animals which apparently have Hiden Discs that can fold up and become different faces for the mecha...

Say what?

Act 14 - Foreign Samurai

Another late review but I am sorry, due to certain limitations, I can only post on weekends. >.<

Anyway, I know that this is a Ryuunosuke episode but can I help it if I ~~am biased and~~ noticed how absoultely ADORABLE Chiaki is throughout the episode instead?

I especially liked the fact that he was so obedient and displayed amazing teamwork with Takeru, making me wonder if the two of them are really at odds with each other... And Chiaki is right, why the heck was Takeru looking at him when he was looking for someone to put Richard Brown through "real training"? Really weird choice there Tono-sama.

Chiaki was also TOTALLY acting like Takeru in this episode. The part where he was lecturing Brown on how "not everybody can be a samurai"? I could have sworn Chiaki's soul just flew out of his body and got possessed by Takeru instead. Oh and the fact that Chiaki is either wearing a red T-shirt or hanging a red accessory off his pants just serves to increase my love for my Takeru/Chiaki ship. :P

Okay, back to the episode, I don't really like how Japanese television likes to portray such a vastly different and slightly mocking view of foreigners really. I mean, we are all humans so what's with the stereotyping? But oh Ryuunosuke, have you met your soulmate alright. I had this expression o.O on throughout watching all his interactions with Richard Brown... The two of them are just... well... o.O

In general, this episode was just a bundle of laughs since it's Ryuunosuke centric and now that we add a westernised version of Ryuunosuke in the form of Richard Brown, we get double the fun. I really don't like how Richard Brown seems like an absolute idiot though. Ryuunosuke just blocked a fire attack for you and all you can say is "Ah, he got away..." followed by "Don't worry about the burn on my thigh"? Hello! You just got him injured and into trouble and that's all you can think about?

Oh, and might I add that Kotoha, earth is a good alternative for putting out fire if Ryuunosuke and his water is not around?

When Brown joined in the rollcall, lol, that was really quite funny. It was so random and unexpected and a little forceful all at the same time. Poor Takeru, his line got stolen...

I think the moral of today's story is really stupid though. So what, anybody who knows the spirit of "never give up" can be a samurai and actually spread the way of the samurai to his foreign country? Please, there are tons of things other than that. It's like the story is saying "Hey, it doesn't matter if you can't fight or aren't well versed with the traditional samurai arts, as long as you never give up in whatever you do, YOU can call yourself a samurai!" As if it was that easy... that's basically the part that really irks me in general.

Next week, Chiaki's mean to everyone cos well, it's the traditional evil twin episode. And do I see Takeru and Chiaki using the RekkaDaiZanto together? Can't wait! ^^

Shinkenger Photobook Cover

ZOMG IT'S SOOOOO PREEEEETTY!!! (*_*) And I am totally getting a Tori/Shogo and Rin/Suzuka vibe from the cover. Sorry Aiba... >.<

The book will go on sale on 29th May and retails for 2310 yen. It contains lots of awesome pics and two separate interviews, one between the boys and the other between the girls.

Shinkenger 13 - Heavy Cry

Our first taste of a girl power episode! Let's hope there's more to come!!!

Okay, as Takeru put it, Mako cooking is apparently the greatest danger. Lol! And I thought that the cooking thing will never be brought up again. The boys' reactions at the start when hearing the news is soooo funny haha. XD

Kotoha fangirling Mako is always <3!!! AND SO MANY HUGS IN ONE EPISODE!!! God I was half expecting them to kiss by the end of the episode. Mako/Kotoha <3 is ALWAYS GOOD! ^^

On the other hand, weird red monster thingies raping the guys while making baby noises? DISTURBING!!! The scene of them comforting the monster back at their home is truly the weirdest thing ever. And Ryuunosuke is definitely not normal, not after seeing the way he played peek-a-boo with the freak on his back. And Takeru, while your "bah" is adorable to me and can most probably melt a few hearts, I can tell you it will have no effect on a baby pls. Chiaki is most probably the most sane one lol but the way he comforted his freak was adorable too (and I am not saying this just because I am biased :P).

This episode also explained a lot about the girls' characters. I can relate to Kotoha missing her elder sister and hence looking up to Mako. That's what I like about Shinkenger, their character quirks are revealed without making any sense but will always be explained a few episodes later. The same with why Mako feels so strongly about being a bride/wife. She lost that part of her childhood acting as a true girl due to her samurai training.

And I love the fact that they can now use their mojikara by combining their kanji. Being a Chinese, one of the beautiful part of the Chinese language and hence Japanese kanji is that they are pictograms and elements can combine together to form new words. In this case, putting Kotoha's 山 (Yama/Mountain) on top of Mako's 風(Kaze/Wind) forms 嵐(Arashi/Typhoon) forming a new projection. This idea has sparked off a variety of kanji combination fanart on pixiv.net already. It might take somebody who understands Chinese or Japanese to truly understand the nuances of combining kanji to form new words though. Nonetheless, good job Toei good job!

Oh, Dance of Heaven and Earth? COOLEST GIRL POWER ATTACK EVER!!! I have noticed from the start that the girls actually represent the two realms of our world (heaven/sky and earth/land) so actually acknowledging this duality and balance through a girl power attack is just amazing!

Ryuunosuke, you should control mecha battles more often really lol!

Oh and on a last note might I add that Takeru was really cute when he fainted from Mako's cooking. :P

Shinkenger 12 - First in History: Chou Samurai Gattai

Ah!!! This review is kinda late eh? Well, some stuff happened the past two weeks so I was kinda inactive. Sorry! >.<

Anyway, god this episode is SOOOO good I am almost willing to forgive the excessive angst they put us through last week!

It looks like Toei has heard all of our prayers cos HURRAY FOR CHIBI KUMA AND KAME ORIGAMI!!! And how cute was Chiaki when he was playing with Kuma Origami! God I would love to see Takeru and Chiaki play with their Origamis together, something which I am happy to say niav and megthelegend have experimented on thelastgate. Great job btw guys! :P

And suitless actions woot! Okay, the fact that the Nanashi didn't attack them while they were ~~proclaiming their love~~ swearing their loyalty was definitely a little eh... But other than that, I think they really did a good job in their suitless fight. And yes, Takeru your vassals ~~(especially Chiaki)~~ all love you so don't ever leave home again!

And like I said last week, Takeru is a really poor kid. Like what Mako said, if I was in his position knowing that I would be responsible for the lives of so many people, I would most probably just collapse from the stress and quit being Tono-sama. Oh Takeru, my love for you has just increased ten-fold!!!

Ryuunosuke never fails to amuse at mecha fights... although I still think that TenkuuShinken-oh is ugly bleh.

Oh well, girl power next episode! YES!!!

Summary: Tori and Shogo have each other and that's all they really need.

Well, seeing that it's kinda hard to write Takeru/Chiaki fluff given how angsty Shinkenger is being, I decided to write Tori/Shogo fluff instead. It doesn't help that the two of them are so blatantly gay towards each other. :P

"Here you go Shogo!" Tori picked up all the konnyaku in his bento and dropped them into Shogo's bento. Tori and Shogo just finished filming another episode of Shinkenger and were having dinner at a restaurant together.

"Mou!!! You really should try eating them. They are not that bad." Shogo whined after seeing the new pile of konnyaku in his bento.

"Eh... but I thought you liked them..." Tori pouted at Shogo's complaint. "And you know how much I hate them..."

Shogo rolled his eyes, "I am only eating them cos you gave them to me. I don't particularly like them you know."

"Shogo's the best afterall!" Tori smiled his dashing smile towards the younger boy and gave him a hug.

"Glad you know that!" Shogo blushed at Tori's comment but tried to keep the atmosphere casual to hide it. "So how's your hand?" Shogo asked as he continued muching his dinner. Tori had hurt his hand just now while doing some action scenes.

"Ah, it's getting better I think..." Tori replied while twisting his hand. "Then again, it might recover faster if someone kissed it."

Shogo almost choked on his food at Tori's reply. He looked up only to see Tori smiling wryly at him. "Well, don't look at me. I am not going to kiss your hand in public."

Tori smiled wider, "That means you will do it for me in private?"

Shogo groaned, "Why do you like to tease me so?"

Tori chuckled, 'Because I love you?"

Shogo stared at him, "Well, I hate you. As if I don't get enough teasing from the rest during filming..."

"Eh, but you said you love me in that previous interview!" Tori exclaimed, "What's with the change of heart? You found someone new?"

Shogo's face was compeletely red by then, although he had no idea if it was due to his embarassment or his anger. "MATSUZAKA TORI!!!" he screamed, earning the bewildered stares of the others in the restaurant.

Tori made an apologetic smile at the rest before paying the bill and dragging Shogo out of the restaurant.

"What was that all about?" Tori asked Shogo with a gentle tone of concern once they reached Tori's apartment.

Shogo looked frustrated and folded his arms, "Well you teased me first. And you gave me all that konnyaku. And I was being so concerned over your hand. And..."

Tori sighed. Shogo can be such a child at times. It's a good thing he knows just the thing to shut him up. Before Shogo can ramble on any further, he pulled Shogo into his embrace while planting his lips right on top of Shogo's. It was a short and gentle kiss, but words cannot describe the intensity of emotions between the two from just that simple gesture.

"I am sorry then," Tori apologised with his arms still encircling Shogo's waist protectively.

Shogo sighed and relaxed himself in Tori's arms. He can never resist Tori like that. He knew that Tori seemed special the moment he met him after Shinkenger's cast was announced. They eventually became best friends as he expected given their similar age and interests. But he never imagined he would become so vulnerable towards him, so dependent on him and indeed, so much in love with him.

"I am sorry too..." Shogo looked up to meet Tori's face. "I was being stupid."

Tori smiled at him while hugging him even more tightly, "It's okay. You are Suzuki Shogo, the one who is always by my side, the one who is fighting with me in this battle, the one who understands me best, and that - " Tori stopped to give a kiss on Shogo's forehead, "- is why I love you."

Tori wasn't lying. It's stressful to be a newbie in the entertainment industry and doing a role as big as ShinkenRed, leader of the Shinkengers. Without Shogo by his side, he would most probably have broke down from the stress by now. He didn't know exactly when he started to fall in love with the younger boy who is so full of energy but by the time he did, everything had already fallen into place nicely, and he was glad for it.

It may be tough to film Shinkenger, especially when they both know the importance of working hard for it given that it's their debut. The world can come crashing down on them, but as long as they are in each other's embrace, they know they can survive it all.

Notes: Tori once mentioned in an interview before that he hates konnyaku. However, their bento always seems to have it so he gives all his konnyaku to Shogo since he is "Tono-sama" afterall haha.

Ah! I don't really know their character that well since we rarely see them out of their screen characters so I mainly just based it on the few interviews on them which I have read. I hope it's okay. >.<

Shinkenger 11 - Three Comma Strife

TONO-SAMA!!! Damn you Toei stop hurting him!!! ;_;

So basically, in this episode, it is revealed that the head of Shiba clan possesses the ability to use a special kanji that can forever seal Doudoku. The catch - the head must have a god damn awful lot of Mojikara to use it and Takeru's not there yet. But of course we know he will get there sooner or later, he IS Tono-sama afterall.

Looking at the final battle of the previous Shinkengers opens up the can of plotholes. I mean, the Shinkenger powers are passed down from generation to generation right? So if the previous Shinkengers died from that battle, doesn't that mean that our current Shinkengers are actually missing at least one of their parents? Chiaki, Mako and Kotoha we can't really tell but what about Takeru and Ryuunosuke? Didn't Takeru's dad pass him Shishi Origami with flaming arrows stuck in his back as we saw at the start of the series? Or was that actually his uncle? And Ryuunosuke's dad is actually alive so he can't be the previous ShinkenBlue right? So was the previous ShinkenBlue like his childless uncle or something? Wierd...

Anyway, plotholes aside. TAKERU!!! ;_; Someone needs to go up to him and give him a big squishy hug (preferably Chiaki)! I mean, this poor child's obviously been through a lot. He grew up without his dad knowing that his only goal in life is to train and master the sealing kanji, something his dad failed to do. Actually, did he even have a childhood? He most probably only had his Shishi Origami for a companion. And I really admire his sense of responsibility towards his mission and his vassal's lives but come on, give him a break already. Making him leave his home so that Doudoku won't hurt his vassals and he can shoulder everything ALONE? I DEMAND an episode where Chiaki takes him out to relax and unwind like IMMEDIATELY after this arc is all over.

Ryuunosuke and Kotoha. God, they are really dedicated to Takeru. When they fell... ;_;

Chiaki surprisingly seemed to take on more of a leadership role this episode. He actually told Ryuunosuke not to get distracted during battle! Like wow! And Mako's kickass, as always. But really, the two of you could have done a bit more than just sit there and watch Takeru fight. I mean, even if you guys are too hurt to help Takeru with his battle, at least go and check on Ryuunosuke and Kotoha. The fact that they only did it after like a little chit chat was kinda "eh?!" to me.

Either way, SO MUCH ANGST in one episode... STOP HURTING MY SHINKENGERS ALREADY!!! I want them to be happy. ;_;

Knowing Silence

Summary: Takes place after Act 10. Takeru may be quiet, but what is he actually thinking about?

"You were really mean to Jii you know," Takeru commented as he walked into Chiaki's room, "he's still cleaning up his face."

Chiaki looked up from the magazine he was reading and shrugged, "Whatever. I didn't see you kicking up a fuss just now like the rest."

Takeru walked over and sat down on Chiaki's bed next to the younger boy. His room was surprisingly neat, well, at least it was neater than what he had expected anyway, "Just because I keep quiet doesn't mean I don't care."

Chiaki practically flopped right in front of Takeru in exasperation, "See! That's your problem! You keep everything to yourself and keep everyone out. Do you know how difficult it is for us to understand you? And nothing's working no matter how hard we try! Ryuunosuke's constant worship, Nee-san's occasional probing, not even Kotoha's cute and innocent pleas!"

Takeru blinked but remained unfazed. "I don't expect you to understand me. All I need is to understand you."

"But what if I want to understand you? What if I want to know more?" Chiaki was almost desperate by now as he inched his face closer and closer to Takeru's in an attempt to intimidate him. "In fact, let's start with why you didn't scream at me just now while I was making a ruckus. You would normally have kicked me out of the house the moment you realised I used Jii's face as my personal drawing board and yet you just sat there trying to finish your god damn tea. What's with you!"

To Chiaki's surprise, Takeru merely moved closer to him such that their noses were almost touching and his eyes were staring intensively into his, as if he could see his soul behind the dark pupils. "I have been noticing you the past few weeks and I know the effort you have put into training. The fact that you could use the Kabuto Disc is a testament to that. I am really proud of you for your achievement. And you know what?"

All of a sudden, without any warning, Takeru's lips were on Chiaki's. Chiaki's eyes widened with surprise but after the constant lapping of Takeru's tongue against his lips, he caved in and parted them open for Takeru to enter with a moan. Soon, their tongues were dancing in perfect harmony as the kiss deepened. At that moment, Chiaki felt connected to Takeru for once, like he actually knew him all these years. They were so together, moving as one in unison.

Takeru's lips finally left his after what seemed like "an extremely short time" to Chiaki and he started to turn a violent shade of red in response.

"What... what the... what the hell was that!" Chiaki tried to sound aggressive but only managed to make it sound like an exasperated sob.

"Like I said, I have been noticing you," Takeru leaned closer and pulled Chiaki into his embrace, whispering into his ear, "And I am really good at observing people."

Thank god Takeru cannot see his face now, for Chiaki will surely die of embarrassment. "You knew... that I... and you too... but you just kept quiet... you..."

Takeru just hugged him tighter and pulled back slightly to kiss his forehead, "Like I said, just because I keep quiet doesn't mean I don't care."

Hmm... Takeru and Chiaki seems a little OOC after I finished this piece. I really wanted to write a fluff between these two characters but I guess they are more of the angry angsty type. :P

Shinkenger 10 - DaiTenkuu Gattai

A CHIAKI EPISODE!!! AND I LOVE ME MY CHIAKI EPISODES!
~~especially when Tono-sama is involved in them...~~

Okay firstly, Chiaki, I <3 you lots and lots but seriously why in hell did you ever thought that you had a chance at getting the Kabuto Disc when Takeru was dividing the booty? ~~As much as Takeru loves you,~~ I am sad to say that at the current level, both Mako and Kotoha have shown that they can easily kick your ass so isn't it kinda obvious you are not going to control it?

And dear Chiaki, I <3 you for being a brat ("Everybody's becoming Ryuunosuke" - good one haha! XD) but trying to steal it from Mako halfway through the battle and then getting pissed off with Jii and the rest of the team makes it kinda your fault. I totally understand how you feel though, being the weakest amongst the team and not being able to prove yourself and living in a male dominated society yet getting pwnz by the female members of the team kinda makes you loserish in a sense but it's okay really, ~~Takeru and~~ your millions of fans worldwide will be by your side and support you! ^^

I like the moral of today's story as told by Jii to Chiaki during that forest scene. To know that you are different from others and that it is okay to be different, because only when you start believing in your own individuality can you truly display your unique strength, just as Chiaki learnt that his Wood Mojikara is different from the Fire or Water Mojikara that Takeru and Ryuunosuke possess respectively.

I am really glad that Chiaki managed to realise in the end that his Mojikara is meant to be different from the rest of the team and that he doesn't have to follow in Takeru or Ryuunosuke's footsteps to become stronger. He went to look for his inner tree just as Jii suggested and what do you know, he is AWESOME in his own ways. ^^

Oh yes, go Jii for being the most awesome motorcycling samurai advisor ever!!!

Mako, I know you dote on your little brother but giving up your Kabuto Disc just like that? Don't disappoint me and be more badass woman! And your element is SKY! Why can't you like smack the MOTW upside down considering his main advantage is his flight capabilities which happens to mean that he's battling in YOUR DOMAIN. A tornado from you would do wonders really.

Takeru needs to play with his Origami in front of the others. GOD HE IS CUTE WHEN HE'S RELAXED AND FLUFFY AND ALL. And I want to see the rest of the mini Origamis damn it! Mini Saru and Kame Origami would be so full of win.

Oh, and am I the only surprised that Takeru was extremely patient with Chiaki and his tantrums throughout the whole episode? He just sat there doing nothing while Chiaki went on his emotional rampage (okay fine so he yelled "Stop it!" but seriously, he could have gotten his butt off and do better than that) and continued to contact him for battle despite everything. AND HE SIDED WITH CHIAKI INSTEAD OF JII WHEN THEY ARGUED!!! LIKE FEEL THE TAKERU/CHIAKI LOVE HERE PEOPLE!!! No seriously, going by the flow of the character development so far, I don't understand why he is so tolerant of Chiaki in this episode.

Now for the next focus of today's episode, DaiTenkuu. I really hated the fact that the auxilary Origamis run on the Hiden Disc gimick rather than continue with the theme of 'animals that fold into shapes which has their elemental kanji written on it'. I mean, they don't fold or anything so how are they exactly ORIGAMI (which means paper folding in the traditional sense and 'folding gods' in Shinkenger's sense)?

For those who don't know, the three auxilaries actually have official elements attached to them given by TV-Asahi's website. Kabuto runs off 'Forest' energy, Kajiki uses 'Ocean' energy and Tora utilizes 'Heat' energy so I would have preferred it much more if they folded into shapes that have the kanji 森 (Mori/Forest), 海 (Umi/Ocean) and 熱 (Netsu/Heat) on them instead to keep in line with the Origami theme. Oh, and I totally knew that Chiaki was eventually going to get Kabuto from Takeru sooner or later because of the elemental theme but I didn't expect him to get it by stealing it from Mako...

DaiTenkuu's really pretty for a giant bird though so I am willing to forgive the fact that the three auxilaries look AWFUL when attached to Shinken-oh. Just leave the three auxilaries as DaiTenkuu and don't attach any of them to Shinken-oh again (but damn, we all know that's not gonna happen).

And yes, DaiTENkuu. 天 (TEN/SKY)!!! Doesn't this kinda overlap with Mako's element? I mean, I know that DaiTenkuu doesn't have an official element like the three auxilaries but still...

Okay, I believe that's enough rambling for one episode.

Next week: ~~Chiaki~~ The Vassals try to protect Takeru from getting killed. That sounds interesting. ^^

Cast Prix 4 Translations

If you thought the Tori/Shogo pics of Cast Prix 4 were gay, well guess what, the interview is gayer. And that means I am happier.

The following is a translation in English of the above interview in Cast Prix 4. I translated it from Chinese since I trust my Chinese much more than my Japanese. >.< Personal opinions are in italics and points of interests (for me anyway) are in bold.

In Act 3, Chiaki begins to see Takeru as a rival. For Takeru, what does Chiaki's existance mean to him?

Tori: I feel that Takeru has this determination to ensure that Chiaki continues to look up to him and finds the need to display his strength in front of him. However, the first impression Takeru has of Chiaki is definitely "What's up with guy!" (laughs)
Shogo: Really?! (laughs) ...... Even Takeru will think like that?
Tori: But I think that Takeru most probably desires for Chiaki to be strong enough to surpass him one day too.
Shogo: Chiaki will surpass him. That's definite.
Tori: If he can really do that. (laughs)
Shogo: He definitely will! Chiaki is working hard towards that goal.

Conversely, for Chiaki, what does Takeru's existance mean to him?

Shogo: At first Chiaki cannot accept the fact that he has to call Takeru "Tono" making him dislike Takeru immediately. However, in Act 3, Chiaki managed to understand Takeru's strength and thoughts on his own despite him not willing to admit it. It's just that he is not able to accept his loss and hence, cannot organise his thoughts properly. But his defiance towards Takeru has definitely changed after the incident, he now thinks of Takeru as a rival instead and wants to defeat him.
Tori: The later storyline also wrote about Takeru approving of Chiaki's will to improve himself in his own ways. (Is that tomorrow's Act? o.O) I believe that even Takeru most probably experienced what Chiaki is going through right now.
Shogo: The story between Takeru and Chiaki seems like it will continue all the way to the end. Didn't we take a photo of us back to back just now...... (Look at third scan)
Tori: That is most probably the ideal final relationship for Takeru and Chiaki. (You are not the only here Tori)
Shogo: Yup, fighting together back to back in the end.
Tori: It's like trusting your partner to take care of your back.
Shogo: Yup! I want it to become like that!
Tori: That's right. Who knows, maybe Chiaki will turn out to be the one who understands Takeru best in the end. They may actually have many similar character traits.

Then, as actors, what do both of you think each other's existance mean to you?

Shogo: "I am so thankful that he is here." That kind of feeling. We not only are similar in terms of age, our acting journey is also roughly the same. (He is refering to the fact that Shinkenger is the debut work for the both of them, so they take it really seriously) Our characters are rivals so I believe that as we act, we can help to encourage each other to become better. The position of Red seems to hold much pressure and responsibility. But Tori has performed really well so I also think that "he is really awesome", that kind of feeling.
Tori: Even though our relationship is really good, we will still have "I need to perform better than Shogo." "I need to perform better than Tori." kind of feelings to keep each other going. It's different from the other members, he is a really good rival.
Shogo: And then we will just eat together after filming is over.
Tori: Because we walk the same direction home. (laughs)

Update on Life

Ah!!! It's been a long time since I last posted ne? Then again, I have posted nothing in this LJ so far but fanfics lol.

Well, let's just say that life has been really really busy these few months and since this IS mainly a fandom LJ, I think I may be reduced to posting only once a week but that's alright. It's better than not posting at all right?

Now, for a shift in fandom focus. Instead of J-Pop, I have a feeling that this LJ will soon be toku oriented... mainly because of the AWESOME Shinkenger!!! Of course I will still be posting the occasional J-Pop fanfics here and then when the fanfic muse strikes me in the head (which is not that often anymore I regret to say...) so we shall see.

Anyway, this year's sentai rocks and Shinkenger is quickly winning my heart and trying to overtake Dekaranger's 5 year reign as my favourite sentai. I love the premise, the plot and most of all the characters. The only thing meh about it so far for me is the ugly looking auxilary origamis.

I am already shipping Takeru/Chiaki like mad and it doesn't help that their actors seem to be in love with each other too (I kid you not). Tori/Shogo is just sooooo cute! But seriously, Takeru/Chiaki is just like Ban/Hoji but without the squishy aibo-love and alcohol induced crack. I see much potential in them.

Keito blushed and looked to the ground before finally muttering what he wanted to say, "Does Inoo-kun hate me?"

Inoo blinked at what Keito just asked him, as if not comprehending the question.

After a moment of silence, Keito picked up a little more courage and decided to ask again, "Do you hate me Inoo-kun? It's alright if you do... I just wanted to know."

Inoo chuckled. Then he started laughing. "No I don't silly, what ever made you think that way?"

"It's just... you always seemed so distant away from me. Whenever we are doing dance practice or photoshoots you don't really seem willing to interact with me, to talk to me, or to hug me - eeps" Keito blushed. What did he just say out loud again?

Inoo grinned before pulling the younger boy into his embrace, causing Keito to squeak once more, "There, I am hugging you now aren't I? And it's not that I don't want to interact with you, I really do Keito. It's just... well you are just so cute and everything when you are practising your dance moves and getting your photos taken that sometimes I would just... I would just rather watch."

Keito blinked. Did he just hear what he thought he heard? Inoo-kun found him cute?

Inoo ruffled Keito's hair as he pulled the younger boy out of his arms. "There I said it. Don't make me do it again."

Keito was in a daze as he looked at Inoo's face. Inoo seemed... embarrassed? "So when you were going around hugging the rest of 7 instead of me it's not because you hated me?" Keito just wanted to confirm once more.

"Again with the hugging thing?" Inoo was amused that Keito seemed really hug deprived. "Ah... Were you being jealous?" Inoo teased as he moved his face closer towards Keito such that their noses were touching each other.

Keito was caught off guard by the sudden close proximity of their faces as he stuttered his reply, 'I... I was... I was NOT!"

If Keito couldn't think properly when Inoo's face was so close to his, the next thing Inoo did just made him lose all sense of consciousness.

Inoo-kun kissed him. A soft gentle kiss on his lips. Keito's mind went blank as all he could think about was how good Inoo-kun's lips felt on his.

Inoo pulled back and grinned. "There, now you have something that the rest of 7 ain't getting. Are you convinced that I don't hate you now?"

Keito could only smile.

Daiki watched silently as Keito walked into the dressing room and flopped down next to him on the couch.

"Good morning Arioka-kun" Keito greeted with his usual smile, "You are early today." Nobody else was in the room, they had been the earliest for their upcoming rehearsal.

Something was wrong though. Daiki didn't flash back his mega-watt smile with a cheerful "Ohayou Keito!" but instead chose to remained silent. No, he was not only silent, he was frowning at the younger boy as if he had just ate up his last box of pocky or something.

Keito began to feel uncomfortable under Daiki's glaring eyes and voiced out meekly "Is something wrong Arioka-kun?"

Silence.

Daiki was clearly mad at Keito. For what reason though the younger guy had absolutely no idea.

"Ne, Arioka-kun don't scare me like that. Did I do something wrong?" Keito was getting flustered.

Daiki couldn't resist but smirk when he saw Keito getting all panicky. Keito has always been cute when he panics, and he does that - a LOT.

Daiki snapped back from reality when he finally realised that Keito was now merely smiling back at him, relieved that no matter how angry Arioka-kun was at him, at least he is still smirking over him.

With a cough, Daiki decides to finally voice his thoughts. "Keito, have you grown taller again?"

"Eh?!" Keito was taken aback by what his senior just said. That was what Arioka-kun's angry about? "Maa... I guess..." he replied sheepishly.

Daiki folded his arms and pouted as he looked away from Keito, "This is just great. First, Yuto decides to outgrow me and now you are doing the same. It won't be long before I am really the shortest member in JUMP. I am supposed to be taller damn it. Afterall I am in BEST and older than all of you and - "

Daiki's words were cut short when he felt someone's head laying on his shoulders. He turned around only to see Keito lying on him contently. "Keito, what are you doing?"

Keito turned around to face Daiki, his hair nuzzling the senior's cheeks as he does so. "Don't be silly, Arioka-kun. We may grow taller than you, but I will never forget that you are the older and wiser one. Besides, at the end of the day, I will still be the one lying on your shoulder because I will be the one depending on you, not the other way around. I may be taller physically, but you will always be my tall pillar of support mentally."

Daiki blushed as he heard what Keito just said. It made him feel good somehow, knowing that Keito will forever be the younger little boy that desires his support no matter how tall he may be in real life. He wrapped his arms around Keito to make the younger boy more comfortable in his embrace. Afterall, if Keito is going to continue to depend on him from now on, he better makes sure Keito gets the best from him.

"Thank you Keito" he said gently as he gave a gentle kiss on the junior's cheeks. Keito responded by hugging on to Daiki even more tightly as the two of them fell asleep while waiting for the rest, both with a content smile on their faces.
